QL Demo ROMs Copyright?

Post by t0nyt »

I have the QL Demo ROM board for retailers, which can now be run in Q-emuLator (from 3.5.2)

But I don't know what the copyright situation would be to make the ROM(s) available, anyone know please?

The first ROM header says

QL Demonstration 1.00
Sinclair Research Ltd.
bi Si <-- no idea what this means, maybe just a co-incidence that it's text or a spelling mistake?

I don't think that's a problem. Even all the QL ROMs are on Dilwyn's website and that doesn't cause any problems.

Without QL, this extension would be completely pointless.

Is the demo the same one that is in the Qubbesoft PD library (except not in Rom format). disk7? if it is this may answer your question.

As far as I know, there are two versions, one in SuperBASIC and one in machine code, which look the same.

So the m/c version could still be in copyright

I don't think anyone would care about copyright anymore.
