QD for Basic and other editors
Re: QD for Basic and other editors
I had a wee fiddle, but didnt gain any particular new insights. I still dont know where QD gets its cursor sprite from. But then I dont really need to know. The golden, blinking sprite is good enough for me..
I designed some bizarre cursor sprites! but nothing to write home about.
Theres nothing special about the system sprites, theyre just standard Wman sprites.

Re: QD for Basic and other editors
Can the sprite cursor in QD be changed or is the definition hard coded in QD.
Maybe a disassembly project, since my requests release the QD source code went on deaf ears.

Of course "hard coded", as it is a sprite. But with a suitable program, you can find the addresses in the program (there are several!) and patch it. Qmg v2 can do this viewtopic.php?t=3019Derek_Stewart wrote: Fri Dec 06, 2024 10:50 am Can the sprite cursor in QD be changed or is the definition hard coded in QD.
I once have done that with "Hot Install", JM's first PE program.
