IIRC, it's called SMSQE.PRG and is for native Ataris (not the ST-QL emulators) - hopefully someone will correct me if I'm wrong (not at home to check my facts).
The .prg is a native ST application for the Atari ST with no QL hardware emulator (although I think - it's been some time I had a look at it - it takes notice of an ST/E VME-Bus emulator, which is, however, pretty unlikely for anyone to have). Note the non-hardware emulation will only work in b/w mode (640x400). The color modes the ST can produce have less than the 256 pixel height which is the minimum for SMSQ/E.
Hi.
How I can execute SMSQ/E programs on ATARTI ST?
I tried to run some applications but I receive the following error: "bad parameter"...
Do I need to recompile the apps under the ATARI ?
Thanks in advance.
Kind regards,.
M.
This sounds like the classical problem of having lost the QDOS file header when transferring the program onto the ST. Note DOS or TOS-formatted disks cannot store a QDOS file header. How did you get the program to the ST?
Being owner of ATARI ST, I am curious to give it also a try. I read somewhere, cannot now remember the source, that SMSQ/E was originally designed for ATARI ST, as initially QL did not have enough computing resources, only later when Gold/Trump cards came around with more memory and CPU, was possible to port SMSQ/E to QL.
