I think it has QIMISI Gold in the ROM port which gives you better graphics, faster processing, more memory:

That's definitely a QIMSI Gold: There's no cable from the monitor to where the QL's video output would normally be, the two cables we see go towards the ROM port area. You also seem to see a very small hint of a QIMSI in the ROM port area in the picture.

Here's a brief copy of the "Requirements" section of the manual. Needs min. resolution of 512x384 (optimum 800x600+) and Hi Colour mode.

So, in other words, no chance of getting it to work on BBQL with (Super) Gold Card, unless you have QIMSI Gold as others have said. Unclear if it would run in 256 colours on Aurora or not.

I'll add this to the description of QDT on my site so that others don't have the same issue.
