QL Top case to develop new QIMSI Gold K/B driver

Hi all,

a weak point of QIMSI Gold is still the lack of K/B drivers beside UK and Ger, which I developed for the initial release. So I would go here the next step and go for the Spanish one, but what I am lacking is a top case with working membrane. I only own one which is my current main QL but it would be much easier to have a separate one. I would be also happy to buy a complete empty case. K/B layout does not matter, I will put stickers on it anyway.
So keep in mind, before offering, its for the community, not for me.

I meant to respond to your original message but had a lot going on this month.

I'll send you a case (both halves). On the top it has 'SDCAT' melted onto it and the number 11, so is not pretty. The bottom has remnants of glue where the 3 riser feet were once stuck on. It has the rubber key dome mat and a membrane, which I guarantee will not work. The CTL key has been replaced with a CAPS LOCK key but that shouldn't matter. All the other keys are present and correct. There are no case screws or small round rubber feet.

Indeed, i can only imagine everyone is happy with the UK/DE drivers.
We spanish users (quite a few, with an active community) long for a SP one, but it seems we'll have to pray to higher gods. If i had a spare one (i own UK and SP QLs, use them both with Quimsi Gold and MicroPicoDrive/QBIDE), i would happily sell it to you. Ýou and Peter are doing such magnificent things for the QL community, we can't thank you enough. Lately i saw some NOS top cases selling on eBay, without membrane or rubber domes, just the plastic top and keys. Not silly prices, but not cheap either.
I'll post some words on spanish forums, maybe we'll have some luck. (on top of Chr$'s offer of course)

thanks, that will perfectly do the job and avoid to disassembly my main QL many times! I am going to order a new membrane right away, so I can start working on the K/B code very soon.

Seems to be the case. Not mistaken, the only request for other K/B languages came from Spanish QL users. I know the community is rather huge, so I will start focusing on this.
