After one of the recent Windows 10 upgrades, QPC no longer wants to survive the laptop going to sleep (on two computers), but rather results in freezing - Is this something that is known or even has a known fix?
(I also sometimes have my problems when coming out of sleep mode myself, so can very well understand QPC - but that specific matter has not resulted in a complete freeze as of yet, luckily )
I just realized it's not necessarily sleep mode, QPC already freezes when I press <CTRL><ALT><Delete> to get to the "Lock"/"Logout"/"Task Manager"... selection screen and back with Escape.
I regularly get this issue with my HP laptop and have asked about it here in the past.
It's not consistent - sometimes I leave the laptop to go to sleep and it happens, sometimes it happens after closing the lid to put the laptop to sleep. Sometimes QPC2 survives come what may.
I'm used to it, and make sure I save consistently until the source of the issue is found.

I had that never before, but now it is very consistent here since one of the last Windows 10 updates. I press <CTRL><ALT><Delete>, then <ESC> and QPC freezes. 10 times out of 10. Happens on two different laptops.
Do you have "Always on top" (QPC2 startup screen) checked ? if yes, try to uncheck.
On my Win10 system QPC freeze if checked.

Doesn't do anything.

Also - do you have QPC2 running with a screensaver in it or similar? I wonder if it is that QPC2 cannot read the mouse / keyboard, or does the image actually freeze if it was doing somethingg graphically at the time?
