Hi Everyone!

I had a QL (and loved it!) back in the 80ties but never found anyone else that had one
I came on this forum by chance and was very surprised to see that the QL still lives; I never imaged that, after more than 30 years, hardware, software and OS was still developed and available

In the meantime, I already installed QPC2, but I see that all my previous knowledge of the QL disappeared during the years, so I have to learn everything all over again.
I hope you can help me with a lot of (stupid) question about the QL in the period to come.

I've written several programs between 1985-1995, then did nothing on the QL for 20 years, but surprisingly had not much trouble remembering all programming tricks. Must have a very good long-term memory

I hope you can help me with a lot of (stupid) question about the QL in the period to come.

The only stupid questions are the questions never asked... Welcome back!

Nope - just found out about it in your posts
I had the "Sinclair gebruiker" magazine in that time, with lots of ZX81 and Spectrum information (I also had them too) - but almost no QL
(and almost everyone else at that time was using MSX in my neighborhood)

Rich (RWAP) was pointing you to our Wiki which you can find on http://qlwiki.theqlforum.com which has masses of useful information about the QL and its cousins, and the SBASIC/SuperBASIC Reference Manual which is also online (and can be downloaded for offline perusal) at https://superbasic-manual.readthedocs.io/en/latest/. Both are open to be updated if you happen to have some information.

I still have all copies of that magazine. It was short-lived (from late 1984 to december 1985) and tied to the LOI, a private education institute. There were not many commercial Dutch Sinclair-dedicated magazines here and I got most of my information from British magazines (fortunately the local book store had plenty of them). Needless to say my knowledge of English got a firm boost then!
There was also a HCC Sinclair user group, but they were more oriented on the ZX81 and Spectrum. It seems they still exist today but have merged with the Commodore user group
