Hi Dave,

These are the pictures, probably I am wrong, you must know that my soldering capability and undestanding is very very low.
Give me your opinion.

Thank for your help.

It looks fine to me. It's not a dry joint, as far as I can tell from the potatograph.

Hi,

I think you need to contact Tetroid, who maybe able help, unless all sanction prevent contact.

Can you check cable to verify what 3 wires are twisted?

Looking on Wikipedia for the floppy drive connector:

Code: Select all

PC DRIVE QL
12 DRVSB Drive Select B 14
13 GND 13
14 DRVSA Drive Select A 12
The idea is to select PC Drive set as Drive 1 or DSRVSB, and change the drive ID to DRVSA

Hi Derek.
I get the cable by you, time ago :) and the 3 wires are twisted. Initially everything worked well, SGC + Qimsi + floppies, but, then there was a lot of increasingly serious malfunctions.
When I replaced the SGC with an old GC everything came back ok, except one of the floppies that does not work. I think your cable is ok.
I will try to put back the original floppy that I had replaced thinking it was broken and then we see. The new one was purchased on ebay and I am not sure it is fully functional.
I'll let you know.
Thanks for the help.
