It is a pain in just about every respect. Try and remove it and it immediately prompts you to re-install it, I don't know if that's my bank at work when I log on, or whether it has some form of anti-removal tool.XorA wrote: Sun Jun 08, 2025 9:00 pmThat bollocks is almost certainly responsible! And when you update the bollox when it prompts from time to time, it complains it can't install as it's already installed.
About as useless as Santander itself. But it seems you can't bank with them without it being foisted upon you. If it ain't there when you login, it gets forced upon you.

Re: Help with Q Liberator
Hi,
To everyone who helped my massive thanks. I now have Qliberator and Turbo compilers running as well as the original Supercharge. Interestingly, Qlib did not work with the Minerva198 ROM but works perfectly with the JS rom which I tend to use anyway.
I have also finally loaded a working copy of unzip so I can now unzip files on the QL and don't have the lost header problem.
I have learnt so much about the QL over the past 4 or 5 days. I have also learnt that QL2K is awkward to work with so will try everything out on QPC. Also got a temporary full licence of Qeumlator which has worked perfectly with everything so looks like I am going to have to shell out some money!
Thanks again,
Greg

Re: Help with Q Liberator
Glad to hear.
Good that you're prepared to experiment a little with emulators to find the best one for you.
If running older QL software is your thing, QemuLator is a good choice. It's QDOS based (can run a version of SMSQ/E too if you ask it nicely) and has good compatibility with older software. It's file handling is a bit easier than QL2K too. Registering gives you its enhanced facilities, well worth doing.
QPC2 is SMSQ/E based, so offers all the latest bells and whistles, including the enhanced SBASIC, but not quite as good with the older QL software, games in particular.
A relatively new (and free) emulator is sQLux, available in a Windows version if you fancy trying another emulator!
