Umm

They are now...sorry Ralf... http://www.dilwyn.me.uk/qlrom/index.html

Disk interface assorted ROM images in the Assorted bit near the bottom of the page. There's also a couple of extra Thor ROM versions further up the page, and a collection of QL ROMs etc for use with the MESS QL emulator (thanks Prime)

Ah, thank you. As far as I can see, there is no ROM for SQB with mouse, as this have a very early Pointer Interface built in, which has to be invoked with the keyword "POINTER". I have to have a look at my disks (anyway...).

Ahh thanks for the Thor ROMS, the MESS skeleton emulation seems to work much better with them than the 6xx ones, so hopefully I'll get it working properly.

Ass for the MESS romset, the philosophy in MESS is that roms should be unmodified, so yes they are direct images of the ROMS and can be burned back to eprom and used on real hardware. I'll probably update the names in the romset to reflect the version numbers and update the SQB & Trumpcard to the latest available.

Cheers.

Don't thank me, thank the people who saved them and sent them to me!

I am not quite sure if the level 2 Trump Card update includes the ATR device or not to read MSDOS and Atari disks. Maybe someone who knows could let us know?

Looking at the ROM image in an editor, it seems to have the keywords ATR_DEV, ATR_CONV, ATR_USE and ATR_TRACK for example. At startup, IIRC, only ATR_DEV command is available to initialise the ATR device, from there on you have a device called atr1_ (like flp1_) and so on. There's more information in the Level 2/ATR manual at http://www.dilwyn.me.uk/docs/manuals/in ... #level2rom

(always assuming this is a full implementation - I don't have a Trump Card to try it with!)

Sorry everyone, I made a mistake, it's been pointed out to me that the QFLP and Trumpcard Level 2 ROM have NOT yet been cleared for copyright, so I had to remove them from the page.

Apologies, misunderstanding on my part.

Hi all!

Are there any differences between 1.16 and 1.19 firmware versions for the Sandy Super Q Board ? An update form 1.16 to 1.19 firmware will be ok?

I've ran both without problems in my SuperDisk (the MK2 SD is the same board as the SQB), as well as the one with the Mouse software for the onboard mouse interface.

You could of course use a 64K EPROM, with 1.16+TKII in the first 32K and 1.19+TK2 in the second 32K, and attach a switch to A15 of the ROM (out of socket, as the A15 pin is connected to +5V), that switches it between high and low. Then you can flip the switch, then reset the QL to change versions.

Cheers.

You are referring about 1.16+TKII and 1.19+TKII. The original firmwares don't include the TKII code?
