it looks to me as if you have a Jose Leandro Qubide clone . https://hardware.speccy.org/temp/qubide-i.html . I built a few of these and I'm using the same CF adaptor too. I think the 5v/3v3 problem may be right on the money as advised earlier or something else about the CF card

if you can , test the adaptor in a pc, just to make sure it's not faulty. jp2 on the adaptor switches 5v to 3.3v. you currently have it on 5v

I've just seen something. On the front of your adaptor is a ceramic capacitor. on my card this looks like a resistor and is marked '2701'. I'll post some pics in a bit

Thanks. I’ve ordered another card, this time from eBay, in the hope the images match what I’ll get (no blocked hole and a transistor)

Will report back when tested

Many thanks

I'm tempted to buy one with a ceramic cap to see what it does and if replacing it with a 2.7k resistor makes any difference

I can just send you one of mine if you like, I'd give it a go myself but don't think my soldering skills are up to it (nor my eye's, but I get my new glasses in a couple of weeks which might help!)

I'm going to burn a qubata 3.11 ROM but is it just a case of replacing all occurrences of WIN with QUB in the ROM image to make it so it's safe to use with QIMSI, or other WIN device, please? (I know I'll need to change the base address of the QUBIDE by removing the jumpers)

Many thanks

New CF adapter arrived today and it’s working perfectly taking its power from pin 20

(Has no blocked holes and has the resistor)

Many thanks
