After mentioning the MESS software QL emulator, I thought I'd mention this QL card, based on a Propellor chip. Keith Dunbar first brought it to my attention and we mentioned it in Quanta a while back, so I thought I'd mention it here with a link to its website for anyone interested:

I looked at this a couple of years ago - from these exact pages.
The propeller is maxed out just doing the standard BBQL display and basic functions, so it only gave a way to reproduce a BBQL and didn't really solve the problem of improving performance.
I made several attempts to contact the designer but received no response.

In the same vein someone has got a Vampire emulating 68000 at some ridiculous speed for the Amiga, I wonder if that would be helpful for a turbo QL.

This is where I expect Peter Graf to join the conversation. I can predict he would explain that doing so is Very Hard. Emulated CPUs do not act *exactly* like the original CPU, as he learned to his great expense and hair pulling...
