QUBATA ROM versions

Hi All,

I have a question on QUBATA ROM images.

There seem to be a few versions of the QUBATA ROM image for version 3.10 :

QUBCLN - it says this is for Qubide clone platforms
QUBATA310 - this is from the main download bundle - there are ROM images for Q40 and Qubide platforms
And a version for TDI (uses the ROM at address 0c000 (Rom port)

I am mainly interested in why there is a Qubide clone version when the standard one should suffice?

I've tried contacting Alain, he's not responded yet, and as it's holiday season, that's understandable. I'm just wondering if anyone else has any insight into why the clone package - and if I am using the DIY clone build (that also allowed for 512K RAM) - do I need to use the clone ROM version or should I use the standard ROM.

I am getting nowhere formatting anything in it.

From what I can see by comparing the ROM images in a hex editor - the clone image is slightly smaller, and the messages on screen are appended by OD OA sequence in the standard ROM and OA only in the clone ROM - but can that account for the differences in sizes ?

Also - does anyone have a copy of the 3.08 version to try?

I had a look at what I have only QubATA 3.06, 3.10.

The rext version of the QubATA has config blocks to configure the hardware address set on the Qubide board and the Device Driver name.

Those are the versions I have too - but I have 2 different versions of 3.10 - one named 'clone'

Hi,

I have had another in depth search of my stored files and backups, I have found QubATA v3.08 for Tetroid TDI, Q40.

I do not know the implementation of the files on another platform, but I would say that they may work, but any hardware specific code would not work. I must of got these from this Forum soewhere in a message thread.

The only versions that are clearly marked fro the Qubide hardware are QubATA v3.06, v3.10 or Qubide v2.02
