Re: Seen on eBay
I owned 3D Terrain back in the day. Never used it after the one time to check it out, though. A very specialized piece of software for a very limited market.
How many copies did that sell in the end, Rich?
Maaaaan, if you could write a Zarch plugin for it

Re: Seen on eBay
I am not sure how many it sold - I have a note of how many copies I sold - but not royalties received from DJC and CGH Services...
I know that my biggest selling program was D-DAY MKII - probably sold about the same number of copies of the SBASIC/SuperBASIC Reference Manual

And the DJC records were only kept I think for 6 years or so (or whatever the correct period was) after DJC closed.RWAP wrote:I am not sure how many it sold - I have a note of how many copies I sold - but not royalties received from DJC and CGH Services...

For DJC, QL Genealogist in its various incarnations was the highest selling program. Chris Boutal must have been one of the few QL software authors of that time who made any real money.

I contacted the seller and there is a double disk drive in the package although not very clear, he has now added a couple more photos depicting them.Mr_Navigator wrote:Well I didn't get that hard drive, however there is more stuff on eBay

Just out of interest -RWAP wrote:I am not sure how many it sold - I have a note of how many copies I sold - but not royalties received from DJC and CGH Services...
I know that my biggest selling program was D-DAY MKII - probably sold about the same number of copies of the SBASIC/SuperBASIC Reference Manual
I have personally sold:
11 copies of 3D Terrain
102 copies of D-Day MKII
82 copies of the SBASIC/SuperBASIC Reference Manual
There were earlier sales by CGH Services, QBranch and DJC, but I don't have records of those without trawling through my accounts
Not exactly huge figures, but I did at least feel rewarded for the work put into these and inspired to carry on writing software - surely that is what it is all about!

There are about 32MB of the 40MB capacity used on that hard disk. A first sight showed Quill and Professional Publisher stuff. Need to explore the content more deeply.vanpeebles wrote:Looks great! Was there any files left on it? Any rare games etc?
I did publish some more pictures in the Expansions folder or the QL Picture Gallery:
