Hi ! Can you please post the STLs ? I like to print one.Zerover wrote:I printed a prototype, but failed. I have corrected the errors, but it is in "stand-by". I don't have 3D printer of my own and am waiting to borrow some one.
I don't think this version is definitive, but if you want I can post the STLs and you can test it.
My Q68 configuration

Yes please do post the stls for the case, it looks very neat and in keeping with the original ql design.

Re: My Q68 configuration
Hi,
If the STLs are not available, I could have a go at producing a similar design.
I have done a little basic design work on a simple cubic Q68 case, not with any QL Styling.
I will see if I can enhance it bit.

Nothing really, only a copy of the current Q68 case.SM7I wrote:You fancy sharing what you have ?Derek_Stewart wrote:Hi,

What do you want in a case?

Here are some infographs. The colors of the case are random.
And attached are the STL files. I hope someone can make them successfully.- Attachments

Re: My Q68 configuration
Hi,
Thank you for the STL files, I got a quotation from Treatstock, which is a 3D Printing Company that outsources 3D Printing work to third party printers, which was quoted as $33.75 (they use US Dollars for payment)
I could get a proto-type print done.
The list of parts indicates the power supply to be :
10W 5V 2A AC/DC Regulated switching power supply for LED Strip Light / Display
Can you tell what the model of power supply is?

Re: My Q68 configuration
It will be interesting to see how it fits together. Mots of the loose components don't seem to have a way to mount onto the 3-D printed parts other than maybe hot-glue?
Edit: maybe what's needed for that case is a daughter board that hosts all the additional components and a simple power supply. The !68 doesn't have too complex of power needs, right? But the case does perfectly match the original QL style.

Re: My Q68 configuration
Hi,
The power supply is available on alibaba.com, £1.74 each, minimum order 5. Maybe a Meanwell power supply maybe a better solution.
