As far as I remenber, the lower part of the chessboard (missing in Jo's Chess) always makes trouble. A few hacked versions run in 2D but crashes as soon you switch to 3D and the lower part was drawn.

So, I fixed the lower part problem. And one should definitely update, because due to a bug the part IS drawn, just not within the screen but god knows where in memory...

Tip: To run on QPC2 with a larger than 512x256 screen, in any mode, enter the command QPC_QLSCREMU 4 before executing chess. The program will then run in the top left corner of the larger screen.
