Giving away microdrives for clone to zip files for preservation

Hello guys.

I'm getting rid of my old swedish QL that has a problem with the microdrives.

With it comes 30-35 microdrives with various software, amongst them 4matter,
Locksmith, Cartridge Doctor, Tasword and some games and utilities.

Would anyone be interested in converting/salvage those that are working into
ZIP files that can work on a PC emulator?

I'm giving them away, its two "Transform" boxes, having 15-20 cartridges in each.

Give me a hint/PM and I post them to anyone thats interested in doing this.

Hello Thomas,

Yes, I can do that (using mdump to create .mdv images and then passing them to a modern PC to send to you).

I can also take care of re-felting before any attempts are made on them. I have a nice setup and have done a lot of recover lately. I'll PM you.

It did come through, have sent you my address.

Are some of them likely to be Spectrum carts? e.g. Tasword is certainly a Spectrum cart.

If some recoveries are unsuccessful and I already have an image file from another identical cart I'll send you that, e.g. I certainly have a working dump of Cartridge Dr.

Yes, you are dead right, I realised now some of them are marked games for the ZX spectrum I had
a few years ago....
Anyway, I send you the boxes for you to investigate. Some of the microdrives are almost not used.
