Yes Norm , that's the one , it's an interesting device , my son's been playing with the speech synthesis on it .
It loads basic off a Microdrive which doesn't work as it needs re felted I have been told .
We used to have two those in the office. I worked in Local Government up in Aberdeen for about 11 years - I was Tech Support for ICL mainframes. ICL donated them to us. My boss made off with one of them in the end - they said he could. The other went back to ICL. We used them for various things but mostly for talking to ICL Support on the phone and by modem when we needed patches etc for problems with the mainframes.
Happy days!
Cheers,
Norm.

I started with PC World magazine and taught myself Basic before I had a computer. Then ZX-81->college (Cromemco, Vax 11-750, etc) then Spectrum 16 K -> ICL Mainframes running George 2+ and ICL VME -> QL -> QXL Card in an old 386 PC -> QPC2. I'm currently on QPC2, running under Wine, on a Linux Mint 19.3 laptop.
Works fine for me.
Cheers,
Norm.

Hello. I regret I haven't used a QL for many years. Long ago, I wrote all manner of things using first Quill and than Text 87. For its day, Text87 was a very good Word Processor.
I've signed up because doing some tidying, I've found some QL material that I feel I shouldn't throw away without finding out whether they might be useful to someone. It's possible more may come to light later.
I'll post the details on the For Sale board, though this one will be 'free to a good home'.
I am new here in this forum and hope to learn a lot. I live in Germany, have two QLs and I am mostly interested in programming languages, e.g. QL-PROLOG.
Welcome to this QL forum, you'll find much more going on than in the German counterpart.
Your special interest Prolog is beyond my scope though... Anyway have a lot of fun!
