I had a quick go here, the emulator starts, albeit slowly, the RAM test completes, then the screen slowly fills with rubbish.

There is a copy of the Minerva 1.98 ROM image that's size adjusted to work with the Qemulator - http://www.dilwyn.me.uk/qlrom/index.html
That image works for me - version 3.2 of Qemulator.
