I've created this thread to get feedback, suggestions and ideas on the rules for trading on the forum. Would people like to see different types of sales? The seller could mention in the title if the item has a fixed price with no offers or a set price with offers/bids accepted etc.

I think people should be able to do here whatever they could do at a bring and buy or jumble sale. That includes haggling, etc.

I think good rules are:

Openness: all negotiations between members should happen in public, and the actual transactions in private to protect members' privacy.

Craigslist posting conventions: it's easy to just write "no haggling" or "OBO" in the post. It should be clearly stated if the price includes shipping. If not, due to the nature of the community, postage can vary a lot, so wiggle room is needed.
