Gold Card problem

I got my QL and Gold Card out today to copy some Microdrive cartridges.

Although the QL worked for a couple of hours, it then went into a loop of constantly resetting. Removing the Gold Card stops this.

Anyone got any idea what might be causing it? Never come across this with a Gold Card before. It's a yellow board with v2.49 EPROM. Checked for bent pins and all chips are securely in place.

(Was copying a mdv cartridge from Mr Navigator's QL past from the 1980s when it happened, so I reckon it's a "MrNavi" virus myself  )

Was it overheating - ie leave it off, try it again and it works? I have come across that before - it can overheat as a result of the 68008 being connected still in the QL?

Yeah, I thought of that, and left it off while I had tea. But same again after that when it had cooled down.

Having tried reseating and tapping the solder joints to check for dry joints etc, without success, I tried a spare PSU and it worked! What's more, the picture on the TV via SCART is now steadier and less flicker too. So unless I disturbed a loose connection, I think it must have been the PSU. If I get time during the week I'll go back to the old PSU and see if the fault happens again.

A slight problem which cropped up was that I managed to break the tails of the keyboard membrane - I was holding the cover open and dropped it, the ends just snapped! Scissors out, cut half a centimetre off, reinsert the tails and it seems to work - I might be buying a new keyboard membrane soon
