Has anyone tried to get the Alvaro Alea Minerva MKII remake working ??

i would like to get one working but need more info .


Anyone ??

I just draw on kicad what I found from internet, mainly bad resolution photos, the instructions on Dilwing site and a pdf with the PCB draw.

The circuit seen to be correct, my only doubt is on a track that need to be cutted, I replace the cut by two solder blob, I think that do it correctly, but in any case the solution shall be cut another track.

Unfortunately, my lack of time do not allow me to test it.

I will appreciate any feedback or even additional fotos with more details of the area.

any help is help !!

i tried installing the aalea board but could not even get minerva to boot ,
only the same "beep" as if there is NO rom installed .

so i must do either something wrong , or the board is not usable .

anyone ??

Unfortunatelly the board was not usable, there a error in 1 pin of the GAL.

I already correct the PCB on github, and test it, and works, at least it hold the clock... I need to read the doc and check the autoboot features, and perhaps conect something to the I2C bus to check.
in the doc is mention a robot that will be funny to see connected to the QL.

The MKII remake works as intended ,

Need to test it a bit more , all options need to be verified .

And now it has a switchable tkII too ,

pin 6 at vcc or vss to switch .

use miniconfig_bas to set the clock .

Did you manage to get miniconfig_bas working? I get an error.

you also need to put i2c_io_bin in the same folder
