Hello,
Coming from Amiga, I followed the first three Sinclair machines, they are exciting, I acquired a QL and I would like to do basic to start.
On a resale site, I found a Sinclair lot, including a QL with its power supply, After ordering three keyboard key supports from E...Y, There is also two ZX81 power supplies, a zx81 and a printer coupled with a 64kb extension, the seller was asking for some 150 euros, I gave him 80 euros, he accepted. I sent it to a repairer, who replaced the RAM and put it on a support, then a recap, and replaced the graphics chips.
I can't wait to type some basic programs with it.

Hi
I find Superbasic on the QL better and more easily extendable than other computer systems.
But I like Hollywood, and use it on a AROS x86 system.
Also have a Mac Mini G4, G5 running MorphOS

MOS is great choice, one of these days I have to raise 100 eur and register
How do you find QDOS to MS DOS or AmigaDOS?
From what I have read only BBC Basic and C65 BASIC are as advanced as QLs one
But QLs one has many extensions and add ons to make it even better
Example: I found Norton Commander small clone (we would say Dopus 4.x clone)
written in SuperBASIC

Hi,
SuperBASIC and SMSQ/E SBASIC is the best BASIC variation, BBC Basic as OK, but it has some features that I d not like.
MSDOS not good, AmigaDOS is slightly better, when I use an Amiga A500 for a while, I use the CLI or Shell rather than the GUI.
The G5, I purchased locally for £0.99 on Ebay and the Mac Mini G4, was £20, I also have a Macbook G4 which needs a Power supply and new battery, bought for £40
I do not like MAC OS, looks like a bad version of AmigaDOS.

You will want the Turbo Compiler, or QLiberator. Both are excellent, once you get you head around them. Both were commercial software, but thanks to people on the forum, they are now available for download from Dilwyn's site, at
https://dilwyn.theqlforum.com/qlib/index.html for QLiberator 3.46, and,
https://dilwyn.theqlforum.com/turbo/index.html for Turbo.
Cheers,
Norm.

Yes, I agree with this, SuperBasic is the best, I tasted a little BBC basic on my Z88, it's not so good (clumsy syntax). But you must at least have TK2 added and also if you please the Pointer etc. environment.
