Thanks to work by Daniele Terdina and Jiri Dolezal, we have now released the Sinclair QL Games Collection 1.

This is a set of 10 commercial games for you to play on a Windows based PC, running under Q-emulator for £10

We hope this will help distil the comments that the QL was only ever a business machine and will hopefully help promote the QL itself.

The games included are:

* Cuthbert in Space by Steve Bak and S J Proctor
* Deathstrike by Damon Chaplin and T. Bovingdon
* Hoverzone by R G Riley
* Jungle Eddi by Stefan Kuhne
* QL Hopper by Steve Bak and S J Proctor
* QL Pengi by Jochen Merz and R. Bieniek
* QL Vroom by Daniel Macré
* Stone Raider II by Alex J Herbert
* The King by C H Robertson Consultants
* The Lost Pharaoh by Stefan Kuhne

Compliments! Great idea. May we can have more of this kind of collections of selected software which works well in the various emuulators.
Why not put this topic also unto "Software"?

Can I add that this Windows based bit of software will work under a MAC OS X as well if you run it under 'PLAY ON MAC' which is WINE based.

Never could afford all those games first time round so it was very nostalgic to play them all this morning :)

Is it easy enough to get the collection running on a real QL?

Ye s- you just buy the original games on disk !! :)

The collection is protected, so that you cannot extract any of the game files, so no, you cannot buy teh PC collection and copy the games across to a real QL. The main aim of the collection is to help spread the word about the QL and entice people who thought it was just a business machine to give it a go.
