I just got mine in the mail. Can't test it fully yet since I don't have a correct disk-on-module, but everything else works fine. The RAM is full speed which makes the TK2 file server work. Soon I'll be able to access the "harddrive" from across the network. [I have 4 QLs hooked up to a single Sony monitor through a 4 way switch. That way each QL can be selected to output to the monitor. Files are shared over the QL network. Works like a charm.]

Hello Jose,

Looks like you've done some really great work on this.

I'd given up trying to find a Qubide in the past.

So when I saw this thread, I just thought "WOW". I guess you can tell that I'm really interested in having one of these, too ! Do you know if/when you'll be making more ? I'd really like to order one if so.

If not, anybody got a spare one I can buy ?

Oh, yes, by the way, does this only work with one IDE device, or could you connect, for example an HD and a CD Drive ? Could it be used at the same time as a trump card if both were plugged into a backplane ?

Cheers,

Dave

Nice . Other qubide that came to its new home :-)

Thank you all for saying that it has arrived . I check the tracking number for all of them and see that is not updated as well as I would like. I still looking for qubide of 4 persons.

Jose,

mine has arrived as well and is working great with a 128MB DOM. I especially like the fact the DOM is powered through pin 20 - gives a nice, clean look without dangling cables.

Thanks again for making those available!

Mine hasn't arrived yet, but there's no need to worry for at least another week or two.

Hi,

I bought a 1Gb DOM:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251846976751? ... :MEBIDX:IT

Priced £6.99 + £2.50 postage.

Plugged it into Qubide Clone, which indicated "Not a Qubide Parition", I did a FORMAT WIN1_
selecting a block size of 4 and all sectors. Went for a cup of coffee and returned to find the IDE partition formatted.

This is the slow way, the faster solution, is to use the PARTITION_EXE programme on the Qubide Support Disk, downloadable from Dilwyn's web site, which allows more than one partition to be added. However, this is dependant on ram, since there is only 640Kb ram, smaller paritions will have to be made, as the disk map is store in memory.

I had forgotten how good Minerva was after using SMSQ/E for so long, the builtin Multi-Basic using EX pipep is what I used to run a BBS on a Supergold card with Qubide.

Regards,

Derek
