Success!! The intermittent problem is resolved. It was a loose master slave jumper a slight bend on the pin now gives a snug fit for the jumper. It boots consistently with the CF card enabled and working. Amen!
The boot looked like this when Card not correctly detected and hence the "not found" messages for the Win_Disk commands

Finally got around to fixing the RGB cable. I quite miss the red messages

Now to figure the best way to get a bunch of games and software onto the CF card and backup all those old microdrive carts. Got habi's image editor but its going to take a while as I don't know what I need yet. I'm used to Amiga WHDLoad images and someone having done all the hard work but I've a feeling this is going to take some time.
