I'm sure he'll modify the files so that they will work. If you have the boards already they can be altered.
I can confirm that the repro boards do fit inside an original vacuum formed kludge housing.
The original plastic is 1.4mm thick (+/- 0.1).
Without the base part in play, the lid is indeed 21mm high all the way along (no slope, taper or funny stuff). The thinner part where the PCB protrudes is 7.5mm high. The width of the main body (bulge) is 43mm at the bottom and tapers to 41.7mm at the top, before it starts rounding off.
Here are some pics, let me know what you need to know. I'd probably like a couple of accurately made housings that are better than my attempt.
He made the changes to the Github for the new traces under the LS00, but I haven't looked yet.Marcel_X wrote: Fri Apr 25, 2025 12:59 pm
Hi Chr$!
Thanks for that! That surely helps!
I already have the boards, so I will mod them according to the pictures in the other thread.
And I might order a few new ones if Alvaro made the changes. I will check his GitHub.
You also mentioned his dimensions were slightly off.
Alvaro, great job, but if you are following this thread, did you make those changes as well?
I'm referring to this:
Fortunately I have 1.5mm thick HIPS that should be close enough. Thanks for the measurements.
I might come back to you with a few more questions.
How were the original shells connected, btw? Glued or melted?
Not sure, but I think I already do all corrections to the dimensions of the PCB, I think Chr$ order the boards after I made the corrections, and indicate that fit in the original case, If I still have some errors in the PCB, feel free to indicate me which ones.Marcel_X wrote: Fri Apr 25, 2025 12:59 pmYou also mentioned his dimensions were slightly off.Chr$ wrote: Wed Apr 23, 2025 9:00 pm Sorry, took a while to respond.
