That is well over-priced - love how it's described as lots of software, but basically looks to be the Psion software and some cartridges with BASIC on it.

I always have reasonably priced QLs available - just have no time to test and list them on SellMyRetro !!

As for the D16 - all it means is that the case is later - you need to see the motherboard issue number really, as it could be any motherboard issue up to issue 7 inside (!)

Also seen on EBay, a QXL card, just the thing for those lonely nights with no QL and only an old PC for company

Aren't the D16s the ones with reliable microdrives?

It all depends - after 30 years, most QLs have had work done on them, be it replacing chips, the motherboard, or the microdrive units - it all depends whether this still has the original components.

Issue 7 motherboards were probably the most reliable and normally paired up with a good set of microdrive units.

By way of example, I have a QL here which is (I think) a D12 with JS ROMs in it - its warranty sticker is still intact and it is fully functional (except for a little bit of flare on the F1/F2 screen) - its microdrive units are on a par with those which were in my Dongled QL and format microdrive cartridges up to around 224 sectors without problem.

Wow! There is a massive demand for QL add-ons but the scene just isn't there to supply them at the moment :(

Yes, the demand seems to be high. The "new hope" for hardware developments is called Dave and hopefully also Nasta ... if these two guys work together I think they will come out with some really interesting stuff ...
