I do not think Freescale/Motorola would make a mess of the IDs, there has been some grinding of the surface, there could a chance it is not what it appears to be.

All this plus all the genuine 060s i have the printing is faint. That printing looks like it was done last week.

As the "unreliable US seller" in question I just want to clarify:

I had trays and trays of new, unopened 75 MHz 68060 with MMU. I was told that '060s are of questionable quality, so I should sell them at dubious quality prices. Less than £50 each. They're from a batch of 68LC060RC75 that were marked as 68EC060RC75 to fulfill an EC order when insufficient parts existed. Freescale/MOT did this sometimes - providing over-binned parts if correctly binned parts weren't available.

I received a solid offer from a local buyer for more than four times this. With medical bills in mind, I sold them to the local cash buyer and paid off several thousand dollars in medical bills.

I may be a terrible person for not honoring the sale of three or four "test pieces" for buyer to pick at, find fault with and try to haggle me down even further.

It certainly doesn't warrant the abuse and personal insults I've received or that have been posted on Discord and here about me. "but no matter, another "Trumpism", by someone that is too old and maybe got brain degeneration." As a literal brain tumor survivor I find this a deeply insulting personal attack. I can't understand why this person hasn't been banned for a week or a month as I have been in the past for saying far, far less. Bringing Trump into it? Really? I'm not a fan of the guy or of anything he stands for. He's a direct threat to me and my family, as immigrants and having a non-white spouse. Even having to say this places us in further danger.

I've blocked him on Discord - which gave rise to him following me around various direct messengers, Facebook groups and etc. This has been reported informally to the Discord/QL Forum admins but no action has been taken yet.

To the matter at hand. I'm not supplying Derek with new old stock CPUs in sealed trays direct from Freescale at any price. I find his products well made. That's because Derek doesn't make them. He solders a few through hole components but for the main part he pays far over the top to outside assemblers. This makes it infeasible for him to bring anything to the QL community at a realistic price. ***CENSORED BY REQUEST***. An excellent quality assembly at a very fair and reasonable price.

So yeah. After this single response I'll be blocking Derek everywhere I can. Not responding to any of his accusations, insults and abuse. He just won't exist in my world, and I'd like it if I simply didn't in his. I'll never participate in his threads. He shouldn't participate in mine.

I wish him luck with his Q60s and Aurora clones. Genuinely. Release the best hardware you can. At east you'll be releasing something - a feat I haven't really managed with any success in the QL community. I'll plug away at my own '030 and '060 boards for the EmuTOS community and if they make sense, for the QL community also.

Hi Dave,

You made me an offer, which I asked for 3 to try in 3 Q60 boards I have hat need a CPU.

Then the next day, when asked for a way to pay you, you said, you were offered over four times the price you quoted me. This did sound like you were increasing the prices.

When I questioned price increase, you used your medical condition as an excuse, for he increase in price.

Please do not use medical conditions to justify any situation. I have had over 70-80 operations on my throat in over 40 years, with lost of voice in the best part of 25 years. Only now the my voice is consistent and does not need an operation every 6-12 months.

I reported you on Discord, because you blocked me without any reply to your acid comments.

The Q68 has SMD components and THT components, which I am more than capable of soldering every component. The PCB component solders the SMD components after they make the PCB and I solder the THT components, in batches of 30.

I did tell you this detail as a friend, but I did not expect everything to be thrown up in my face.

I never question anybody's construction methods, so what make you so special.

With regards, to the other comments on comparing you to the president of the USA, it did seem that way, your way is the only way.

The Q60 seems doomed to never being successful, with Roy Wood in 2000s did his best to rubbish any attempts to produce something special. Now you.

So just forget it I do not need all this, the QL is a nice system, but spoiled by people with ideas like you are polluting the QL community.

My apologies to the everyone else about this type environment generated by a self centered fool.

Best to leave the QL community an do something else.
