The official version is Tim's 2.7.2. Tim maintains that one.

Any other 2.7.2x versions are mine. They are either bug fixes or enhancements which I wanted but Tim wasn't keen on, I maintain these via the SinclairQL github account.

If Tim releases a new version, my latest, currently 2.7.2g, will be updated to match Tim's release.

Now, downloads, If you go to the releases page, URL in a previous post, you will find an "Assets" link with tiny triangle in front. Click the triangle. The assets list will open revealing a zip and a tar.gz for the sources. There is a zip file named "ssb272g.zip". Download it.

That is the zip file containing the docs and the executable. The zip file was created on my QPC2 system under SMSQ. The other files there were automatically created by github and are always named after the repository.you don't need those.

Whenever I release a new version, I announce it here. Dilwyn is probably only tracking Tim's official version.

Cheers,
Norm.

Hi,

I am not really bothered about the continuation marker, as long as it is documented.

I must admit to not reading the manual correctly, with to SSBGO, once I read Tim's excellent manual and converted Norman's Quill Doc with Qstripper all was understood.

I doubt that I would release another version of SSB. I actually use version 2.6.2 because it does all that I need. Version 2.7.X was mostly adding things that I thought others might want (like different languages).

I think it safe to say that the torch has been passed to Norman.

Thanks for the explanation.

3) the zip file does not contain the executable, only the sources and documentation, the software is optimized for Turbo so this forces you to install and learn to use this compiler. <>
Anything that can be compiled by Turbo can be compiled by Qlib! If you must, you can add your favourite Qlib directives, they wont interfere with the existing Turbo ones. As youre using QPC2, any difference in speed will be negligible.
