That clarifies a lot the situation, but from whom and when we'll be informed that the copyright authors changed the copyright state?

Only the author can tell you that ! - there is no central registry for copyright as that would be an impossibility. Even the text in this post has a copyright in reality...

This is the response I got from the IPO regarding a copyright question on magazines:
With regard to copyright there is no official register within the UK therefore it is your responsibility to research copyright owner or if copyright is still in force. Typographical arrangement protection last for 25 years from when first published. However artistic works are covered for 70 years after death of the creator.

If you cannot locate the copyright owner we do not recommend that you use the work.
