Originals are as rare as hen's teeth & expensive so I wouldn't bother. The main advantage of getting an original PSU is it plugs in without modifying the computer but if you have a QL plug any PSU with suitable voltages is fine.
This is the power supply I have for my QL. Today I drilled a hole in it and fitted a fuse holder as well. If anyone has never seen the original QL power supply they'd say it's theirs
Anyway I was lucky because the person who gave me the Sinclair QL also gave me the original 3 way plug; so i adapted the plug to the power supply (which had a 3 way plug taken from a pc fan).
