Hello,
The QL service manual indicates that all main boards returned for servicing should be modified to improve Microdrive operations.... Basically, a few trace cuts on the main board and a few bridge wires soldered between leads. (Different cuts and bridges for Issue 5 and Issue 6 boards). Has anyone every implement these mods and if so do you know what the specific benefit is and would you say its worth the effort?
Thanks,
Tom

Re: Microdrive enhancement on system board
Some of the track cuts and added wires are rerouting the power feeds. I can only guess why.

Step up to red alert. Sir, are you absolutely sure? It does mean changing the bulb
