I'm wondering if anyone here is familiar with Automator (for Mac). In my opinion, the issue to be resolved is rather simple, but unfortunately, despite my efforts, I have not been able to find an exhaustive manual that explains the functioning of the various Automator actions in detail, but only in a generic and incomplete manner.
The situation is:
- we have a number of folders (or directories);
- these folders have various sub-folders;
- each sub-folder may or may not contain a folder with a specific name, let's say "Clive".
The task (or workflow) to be performed is:
without modifying the source folder at all, to obtain a second folder with only those folders containing the “clive” sub-folder (and its contents), but in such a way that there are no longer any other sub-folders with names other than “clive” ”.
The result would therefore be to have all (and only!) the "clive" folders inside their main folder.
It's harder to describe than to understand...

Hi Christan,
The only thing I can find about Automator is on the Apple Support web site or macOS Sequoia:

With a link to user guide:Automator User Guide wrote:Automator lets you automate much of what you do on your computer. With Automator, you don't need to know complicated programming or scripting languages to create automations — you just use any of the hundreds of actions available in the Automator Library to create workflows.
