Hi all,
a quick message to let everyone know that our old friend Romaldo Parodi, AKA The Hardware Man, passed away on August 2020. We didn't know this before.
Romaldo was a good fellow, and many of us know him mostly because of his passion for electronics and the QL machines. I for one got from him an ED drive and a Gold Card which I treasure, but also some email exchange from which his sincere interest in the QL, in electronics, and in helping other people, was clear.
The most interesting part being the latter: he was a nice guy and was eager to help others.
Generous, patient and gifted with a good sense of humour, he quickly became a real beacon for us Italian QL users.
We were missing him, we will miss him even more now that he's gone, as a friend more than as a technician.
On behalf of the Italian Sinclair QL users

Le mie condoglianze. I had not heard of him before, but it sounds like he was a lovey person.
Where is the best place to catch up on the Italian QL scene? I can read Italian quite well, (but speak/write it poorly). It would be nice to find out what is going on over there.
