This is such a cool project. The game has proliferated itself onto so many platforms. QL'ers can play it presently via the ZX Spectrum emulator. The Amiga version is supposedly written in C but the 8-bit ports are mostly in machine code (6502 and Z80).

Edit: Oops, you have to a) have a Facebook account and b) join the group below to be able to see the image gallery of ports above. Sorry it's so complicated, just the way Facebook works.

Oh, right you are. It's a private Facebook group that anyone can join. So you have to have a Facebook account and then join the group. Sorry...Facebook doesn't always make it easy to share without having to drink their kool-aid :-/Cristian wrote:The link doesn't work
I'll edit the link above with the group join if anyone wants to see it. It's basically a link to an image gallery that show the game on the dozen+ platforms it has been ported to in a relatively short time.

I believe if you contact David Murray he can provide you with information of where that is. He gives out his source code to anyone interested in porting it to a new platform. Not sure about who hold the Amiga source since that seems to be a complete re-write. I haven't checked github for it yet.Derek_Stewart wrote:Joined the FB group, there seems to no source code...
Re: Attack of the Petscii Robots
I just poked around and there is no source on github as far as I can tell. On forums it seems that you contact David Murray but he seems to respond quickly and attach the Commodre Pet source (which was the base for all the conversions).

I’m a big fan of your channel and love your content – especially restorations and game creation.
Your recent video Petscii Robots Part 4 - Atari and X16 listed the BBC Micro as one of the platforms missing a conversion, and a number of people in the Stardot forums which are dedicated to the Acorn range of computers have shown an interest in attempting a conversion.
Would you be prepared to share the source code with us, to be used privately (of course), and what rights / conditions would be attached?

He mentioned a couple of others on here had asked and also got the code, are people interested in catching up and doing a shared effort?
