I guess I'll have to drill out the rivets holding the metal shield... How do I replace that after checking the 7805?

All right, I'll try those tips... I have a desolderingstation so it should be possible to do...
What could cause the 7805 to short out when it was working fine some years ago?

It is an Issue 1 board and RAM is fully populated...

Sandy Q Board problem

I have a Sandy Q Board that has ceased working, QL just doesn't boot to any screen when attached.
Dave, are there any specific ic's or things I should check first?
